A UAE employer group with several legal companies keeps its payroll in a single Odoo database. Al Jawad Software House extended the standard UAE payroll so the companies run together, with their own bank files and monthly provisions.
Where the work gets hard
One group, many employers. Each legal company pays its own staff and files its own salary file.
Inputs arrive as spreadsheets. Adjustments, overtime and deductions come from many places.
Provisions never stop. End-of-service and similar provisions need booking every month.
What we implemented
One payroll run across companies
A wizard imports adjustment and overtime files, then creates a payslip batch for each selected company. It skips employees whose payroll is locked unless told otherwise, generates the payslips and reports success or warnings for each company without stopping the others.

Payslip inputs
Adjustments, overtime, retro deductions and their reversals, pension deductions and pro-rata deductions are added when the payslip is computed.
WPS and platform export
A WPS salary file is produced for each company and bundled together. A separate Excel export, with a sheet per company, follows the layout of an external payroll platform. It is a file for upload, not a live connection.
Provisions and onboarding
Each month Odoo books end-of-service, DEWS and pension provisions as changes from the previous month. Employees and companies load from Excel through configurable column maps, with logs and sample files.
How the work gets easier
| The usual way | With the new process |
|---|---|
| Each company's payroll is run separately | One wizard runs them all |
| Salary files are built by hand | A WPS file is created per company |
| Provisions are calculated in spreadsheets | Odoo books the monthly change |
Payroll staff review the exceptions rather than rebuild each run.
