Back to overview/Inbound & receiving

Get it to a location, correctly, fast.

Advance shipment notices, dock scheduling, receiving with quality checks and discrepancy handling, then rule-driven putaway that places stock where it should be picked from.

The problem

Dock-to-stock is the interval most warehouses do not measure. Goods arrive, sit on the floor near the dock, and are put away when someone has time — which means they are unavailable to pick while the client believes they are in stock.

Putaway by habit rather than by rule also decides picking cost for the entire time that stock is in the building.

Core workflow

ASN to available stock.

01
ASN
Client or supplier submits the expected receipt.
02
Dock booking
Slot assigned against dock and labour capacity.
03
Receiving
Scanned count against the ASN, by lot and serial.
04
Quality & damage
QC checks, damage records and hold status.
05
Discrepancy
Over, short and damaged reported to the client.
06
Putaway
Rule-driven location, stock available to pick.
