A museum lives on staying in touch with its audience. For a museum in Saudi Arabia, Al Jawad Software House runs newsletter campaigns through Odoo. The real work here is not the software. It is the sending and the management of each campaign, so the right message reaches the right people.
Where the work gets hard
A newsletter is more than an email. Each campaign needs an audience, a message, a sender and a plan for getting it out.
Audience lists keep growing. Contacts have to be imported and kept usable from one campaign to the next.
Big sends get blocked. Mail providers treat a very large single send as suspicious, so a campaign has to go out at a steady pace.
What we implemented
Campaign management
We manage the campaigns with the museum's team, from preparing the audience to sending the message.

Audience lists
Participant lists are imported into Odoo as contacts, ready to use in a campaign. Each person can receive their own personal survey link.
Sending in batches
Each run sends to a limited group and remembers where it stopped, so large audiences are reached in steady steps.
The right sender
Each message goes out through the mail server that matches its sender address, so what readers see is consistent.
Visitor coupons
A printable document shows each participant's coupon as a barcode, ready to use on site.
How the work gets easier
| The usual way | With the new process |
|---|---|
| Each newsletter starts from scratch | Campaigns follow one managed process |
| A long list is split by hand | Odoo sends in batches and carries on where it stopped |
| Links are pasted one by one | Each person's link is created when the list is imported |
The museum's team can focus on what to say to its audience. We make sure it gets there.
